These past few days have been fun and tiring at the same time. It seems that our whole family has come down with a cold of some sort. Just a bunch of coughing and sneezing!
Alexi smiled for the first time last week! That was fun. It seems that Sydney can get Alexi to smile the best! There must be something about her high-pitched cute voice that Alexi loves. It is adorable to watch Sydney interact with her baby sister. She constantly says, "Hi babies." She doesn't quite understand the concept of the singular "baby."
Sydney has many boo-boos this week. Lots of cuts, bruises and scrapes on her knees. This morning she gave herself a bloody nose by falling into the couch leg. Oh my!
Luke is busy getting the vehicles ready for the move across country. He is also doing a lot of prep for separating from the Air Force and he is helping out a ton with the kids. He works harder than anyone I know!
Last night we drove up to Burbank/Pasadena area to visit a gymnastics club up there. Julie and her mom watched both girls while we were at the club. Julie's parents live near Pasadena. They are too sweet for taking on the challenge! I feel bad that they had to experience Alexi's wrath for part of that time. Their house echoes, so that made it sound twice as loud I'm sure! Bless them for helping us out!!
This weekend, Alexi and Laken will be "Baby Jesus" in our church's "Journey to Bethlehem." We'll have to send out photos.

Thanksgiving
Wow, this week has just flown right by! Cindy and Virginia came to visit for the week. It was so much fun for everyone! Sydney has been going through Grandma and Aunt Gi Gi withdrawl. She misses all the entertainment and distractions that they provided.
We had a big Thanksgiving dinner here at our place. Many of our closest friends were there: Cori, Matt and Brayden made it down from Edwards AF Base, Ashlyn, Tosh and Jax, Sidro, Kristen, John and their two boys Luke and Paden. The Mills family couldn't make it. They were truly missed this year. Our prayers go out to the Mills and their extended family in their loss.
This Thanksgiving has reminded me of how much we have and how blessed we really are. I am so in love with my husband. These past five years have been amazing. We have grown closer and each have learned so much about ourselves. Of course I am thankful for my little girls Sydney and Alexi. They bring me such joy. Even through the tears, tantrums, messy diapers and spit up, I love being a mom. Someone recently reminded me of how quickly these years will go by.... she said "the days seem to go by so slowly, but the years fly by." I already believe this to be true. My goal for the next year is to really enjoy each day I get to spend with the girls.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hear those of you in Colorado got some snow. Do some shovelling for me!! We'll be there soon...
