Braxton Hicks Contractions
Hello Everyone!
So... I have been having a lot more braxton hicks contractions (contractions that are "practice contractions"). Last night Luke and I thought we may end up in the hospital by the morning, but finally they stopped and I fell asleep. We were up most of the night, proabably only getting 3-4 hours of sleep. We are exhausted today. I'm still not due for another 3+ weeks, so this may go on for awhile. Hopefully we'll get more sleep soon.
Just thought I would keep you updated on the latest. Have a great Friday and weekend!

This is what a pregnant mommy gets to see days later... I was told... "Oh, she'll be fine, I won't let her get hurt..." Maybe not hurt, but swept away in the ocean! Oh, if only I had been there--there would be some serious Mama Bear words!

Sunday after church
Nothing too exciting here. Friday, my girlfriends Ashlyn (and baby Jax)and Kathleen came over and we walked to Starbucks. It was great catching up with the girls. Sydney loves seeing Jax (only 7 weeks old). She waves to him and says "Hi." It is cute. Julie came over Friday night and we watched a chick flick (Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants). Luke and Isidro went out to celebrate Sid's new job he accepted here in Cali.
We got some chores done on Saturday. Cori and Matt stopped by for a bit (on their way to the airport). It was great to see them again. Their baby boy, Brayden is growing so fast. He is precious! We watched the movie "Stop-Loss" last night. It was a sad movie, but good to see. It's about Army guys coming back from Iraq and having to go back even though they want out of the military. I'm thankful that this is not our situation.
Church was great this morning. We are always encouraged by our small group.

Yesterday on the beach
If only you could have seen how wet and disgusting we got! Sydney had a blast. Denise, Lois (Denise's mom) and Bailey also played with us on the beach. Fun times!

Toddler Days
This week hasn't been the easiest. I'm not sure if Sydney is sensing the change coming or what, but her tantrums are becoming more and more frequent. Maybe she senses the stress I have of trying to get everything prepared before the baby arrives or she truly is learning more about her own frustrations and how to control (or not control) them. Either way, we are both learning how to handle them.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle two babies at the same time? Sydney is still so young and I am worried that she will struggle with the concept of sharing Mommy. I've heard some good ideas about making time to spend with Sydney when the new baby is napping and also to encourage her to help me take care of the baby. Any more ideas??? I love hearing your advice!
